The hostel helps to meet, to a certain extent, the growing needs of the residential accommodation of the students of this institution. The present building of the hostel has sufficient accommodation for hostel needs of the Institute. It is looked after by a Residential Hostel Warden and Deputy Warden appointed by the Principal from among the members of the staff. Residence in the hostel is a privilege and not a right.

The hostel comprises of:-

  • Furnished Rooms
  • Mess
  • Laundry / Barber Facility
  • Indoor Medical Facility (First aid only)
  • Mosque
  • Provision of congenial environment for study

Management of Hostel
The overall management is that of RED-C; however, for the smooth running of operation and provision of better environment, there is a Regulatory Resident Management, comprising the following:-

  • Warden
  • Cook
  • Waiters
  • Student Hostel Proctors

Hostel Accommodation Procedure & Rules & Regulations
These shall be called Hostel Rules and Regulations of the REDC Institute of Engineering and Technology, 2011.

  • Every student who is seeking accommodation has to mark "Yes" in the Admission application form for hostel accommodation.
  • His application will be scrutinized on merit criteria.
  • Hostel admission is applicable for at least one academic year. Which can be extended further?
  • Total charges of hostel will be 12x5000=60,000 per year.
  • Hostel charges should be paid by proper time.
  • Daily attendance of hostel students is taken by the hostel warden.
  • No outside hostel activity in the name of RED-C can be arranged without prior permission of the concerned administration.
  • Activities which are derogatory to Islam and against the prestige and honor of the Institute are strictly observed and punished.
  • Students wanting short leave must take permission of the Principal and get entered their names in the register before leaving and after coming back to the hostel.
  • Water and electricity should be used economically. Use of electrical appliances e.g. heater, stove, kettle, iron, hot pleat etc. is strictly prohibited. Heavy fine will be charged if student found using these appliances and will be liable for dismissal from the hostel. Switch off the light and fan while going out of the room.
  • Hosteller should obey the rules set up by the committee to maintain discipline in the mess hall. With prior permission, guests (Father, Brother, Uncle) may be allowed to stay in the room and
  • Rs. 200/- per day per guest will be charged.
  • Jewelry, money and other costly items should be kept in the safe custody otherwise the authority holds no responsibility for the theft or loss.
  • Newspapers and magazines should be read in the reading room only.
  • If anybody is found in infringement of Warden's instructions, misbehaving in the hostel premises or RED-C institute premises, on road and doing anything that can damage the image of the institute, shall be punished.
  • The decision of the Principal shall stand final on the matters pertaining to the hostel.
  • Parties or other special gatherings in the hostel are not permitted.
  • Hostel furniture must not be moved from one room to another.
  • Any damage of hostel property must be reported immediately to the Warden. Students will be charged for all damages except those caused by normal wear and tear.
  • Smoking and alcoholic drinking is strictly prohibited and if anybody found guilty of such acts, he would be immediately terminated from the hostel as will as the institute.
  • Unauthorized person is not allowed in the rooms.
  • The students should strictly obey the instructions and rules given above. Violation of any of the above rules by the students shall be dealt with strictly to the extent of even expelling him from the hostel and institute, in that case the decision of the Principal shall be final and binding for the students and their parents.
