Computer Technology has a major impact on our lives during the last thirty years. Computer engineers continually push the capability and applicability of computers in every industry and every facet of modern life. Computer engineers are especially concerned with analyzing and solving computer-oriented problems. In this field you will learn all about the hardware and software aspects of computer science. You will gain a solid understanding of circuit theory and electronic circuits. Students of computer technology study the design of digital hardware and software systems including communication systems and devices that computers contain. For them, programming is focused on digital devices and their interfaces with users and other devices. An important area within computing engineering is the development of embedded systems. Devices such as cell phones, digital audio players, digital video recorders, alarm systems, x-ray machines, and laser surgical tools all require integration ofhardware and embedded software, and are all the result of computer technology.
Career Prospects
After completing the diploma, students can work in Mobile Service Provider, Internet Service Providers, RF Planning & Optimization, TV Channels, Research& Development Organizations, Heavy Electrical Industries, NDC, Suparco, PMO, Pak Air Force, Pakistan Army, PIA, Nuclear Energy Commission, KRL, Atomic Energy Commission & Manufacturing & Power Plant as junior engineer and junior technologist.
Higher Education
Also students will be eligible for BSc, BE and B. Tech. degrees in the relevant fields from reputed universities (Government & Private sectors) all around the globe.
