With the immense increase in the demand of telecommunication engineers, growth of global telecommunication industry, deregulation, privatization, and rapid technological changes, RED-C Institute of Engineering & Technology established Telecommunication Engineering Department under the Faculty of Telecommunication and Information Engineering. Department of Telecommunication Technology is concerned with the theory, design, development and application of computer networks and telecom systems. The objective of the program is to provide students with a strong theoretical and practical background in hardware and software systems along with the engineering analysis, design and implementation skills necessary to work between hardware and software. The department aims at imparting high quality education to the students with hands on training in the latest and emerging telecommunication technologies. To measure up with international standards, the Telecommunication Engineering Department is inducting the cutting edge technology in the form of equipment and expertise in the form of faculty and professional training experts. This will help in achieving the Institute’s goal to produce associate engineers that are capable of taking on any challenges in the industry while being able to perform their tasks efficiently with high precision.
Career Prospects
After completing the diploma, students can work in Mobilink, Zong, Ufone, Suparco, Internet Service Providers, RF Planning & Optimization, TV Channels, Research & Development Organizations Heavy Electrical Industries, NDC, Suparco, PMO, Pak Air Force, Pakistan Army, KRL, Atomic Energy Commission & Manufacturing & Power Plant as junior engineer and as junior technologist.

Also students will be eligible for BSc, BE and B. Tech. degrees in the relevant fields from reputed universities (Government & Private sectors) all around the globe.
